Everything in this shop is made after you order it. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be picked, which is why an order takes a few days longer than a shop shipping from stock, and why nothing here ends up in landfill because it did not sell. This page explains how long that takes, what it costs, and what happens when something goes wrong on the way. Returns and refunds are on their own page.
1. Production time
Production time is the time between your order being confirmed and the parcel being handed to a carrier. It is counted in business days and does not include the day you order.
| What you ordered | Time before it ships |
|---|---|
| Graphic tees | 1 to 2 business days |
| 3D printed pieces | 3 to 5 business days |
| Personalized light boxes | 5 to 7 business days |
Light boxes take longest because each one is built from the photograph and the names you send, and because a piece that is wrong cannot be sold to anyone else. If an order contains items with different production times, the whole order ships together once the slowest item is ready. Tell us if you would rather have it in two parcels and we will quote the extra postage.
These are estimates given honestly, not guaranteed dates. If an order is running late you will hear it from us before you have to ask.
2. Transit time
Transit time is added on top of production time. Orders ship from Houston, Texas.
| Destination | Typical transit |
|---|---|
| United States | 2 to 5 business days |
| Canada | 5 to 12 business days |
| Everywhere else | 10 to 21 business days |
Transit times belong to the carrier, not to us. Customs inspection, weather and public holidays lengthen them, and December lengthens all of them.
3. What shipping costs
Shipping is a flat rate for the first item plus a smaller amount for each additional item in the same order, so ordering three things costs far less than three separate orders. The exact amount is calculated at checkout once you enter a delivery address, and it is shown to you before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.
| Destination | First item | Each additional item |
|---|---|---|
| United States | $6.50 | $2.00 |
| Canada | $9.90 | $3.00 |
| Rest of the world | $16.90 | $5.00 |
We ship to every country our carriers will accept, which is currently 240 of them. If your country does not appear at checkout, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can get a parcel there.
We do not inflate shipping to subsidise the product price, and we do not pretend shipping is free by building it into the price of a tee. You pay roughly what the postage costs us.
4. Customs, duty and taxes outside the United States
For deliveries outside the United States you are the importer. Import duty, customs charges, brokerage fees and local sales tax are set by your country, are not included in what you pay us, and are collected from you by the carrier or the customs authority before delivery.
We cannot calculate them in advance and we cannot pay them on your behalf. We declare the true contents and the true value on the customs form; we will not mark an order as a gift or understate its value, because that is fraud and it is your parcel that gets seized.
A parcel refused because you did not want to pay the duty is treated as an undeliverable parcel under section 6.
5. Tracking your order
You get two emails. The first confirms the order the moment it is placed. The second carries the tracking number, and it is sent when the parcel is handed to the carrier, not when the label is printed.
Tracking often sits still for a few days after it is created, and international tracking frequently goes quiet while a parcel crosses a border. That is normally the carrier's scanning, not a lost parcel. If nothing has moved for ten business days domestically or twenty five internationally, email us with your order number and we will open a trace with the carrier.
6. Wrong addresses and undeliverable parcels
We print the delivery address exactly as you enter it, because guessing at a correction is how parcels end up on the wrong street.
If you spot a mistake, email us immediately. Before the item goes into production we can change the address at no cost. After it has been labelled we cannot, and the parcel has to run its course.
If a parcel comes back to us as undeliverable, whether because the address was wrong, nobody claimed it, or duty was refused, we will contact you. You can have it reshipped once you cover the postage a second time, or you can have a refund of the item price with the original shipping deducted.
7. Parcels lost or damaged in transit
If your parcel arrives damaged, photograph the packaging as well as the item before you throw anything away, and email us within seven days of delivery. The photograph of the box is what lets us claim against the carrier.
If tracking shows delivered but nothing arrived, check with your neighbours and your building's office first, then email us. We will file a carrier investigation and, where the parcel is not recovered, we replace it or refund it. Section 2 of the Returns and Refunds Policy sets out how that works.
8. Multiple parcels
A large order may travel in more than one parcel with more than one tracking number. If you receive part of an order and the rest has not appeared within five business days, tell us rather than assuming it is lost.
9. Contact
Email [email protected] with your order number in the subject line. A person reads it, usually the same day.
